Lovely movie worthy of nominations

I must that I really liked Sound of Metal that came out a couple years but the great thing with CODA is it truly has deaf people in it mainly Troy Kotsur which is magnificent! The only thing that bugs me is how much bulling there is otherwise the performances are captivatingly great throughout and the movie is very fun to watch. I think Amy Forsyth is great the few times I've seen her like Horrorfest and We Summon the Darkness; I hope to see her more and Emila Jones is a shining star that deserves praise!

Predictable yet highly satisfying

Greetings from Lithuania.

"CODA" (2021) is about a family of 4 member in which 3 of them are deaf. And while that synopsis might sound as a one taken from a brutally dark comedy, "CODA" is actually the most sincere and sweet and predictable yet solidly made movies i've seen in some time. While you can guess the plot from a mile, its amazing acting by amazing actors who are indeed are deaf, solid directing and script that makes "CODA" work. Also some its so sweet movie that there might be tears at the end - yet they are worth it.

Overall, i highly enjoyed "CODA" for its amazing acting by everyone involved, solid directing and solid writing. Be warned that this is by the book movie which means if you have seen some films in your life you will probably have seen "CODA" many times - yet when its done so good you can't deny yourself of a pleasure to see it. 3 Oscar nominations just proves it.

This thought-provoking family drama is a realistic emotional ride

CODA is a movie I expected to like, and I was not disappointed. Each member of the cast is pulling their weight in this thought-provoking family drama. I was especially impressed by Eugenio Derbez as the music teacher and Daniel Durant as the overlooked brother. This film could have been melodramatic, sappy, or preachy, but instead it's a realistic emotional ride.
